CryptoLocker Ransomware What You Need To Know

18:14
CryptoLocker Ransomware What You Need To Know CryptoLocker is a new ransomware program that will encrypt your data using RSA & AES encryption. Once the malware has finished encrypting your data, a CryptoLocker program will pop up demanding payment to decrypt your data. this payment is either $100 or $300 in order to decrypt the files. I myself would never pay for this decryption of my data, because paying for something that was not encrypted in the first place is just wrong, plus these criminals hold innocent people to ransom. In this video I will show you how to remove CryptoLocker and show you a way to try and recover your data, also I will be using cryptoprevent from nick shaw. CryptoPrevent is a tiny utility to lock down any Windows OS to prevent infection by the Cryptolocker malware or 'ransomware', which encrypts personal files and then offers decryption for a paid ransom. http://www.foolishit.com/vb6-projects/cryptoprevent/ more useful info can be found here. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/cryptolocker-ransomware-information http://www.malwarebytes.org http://www.briteccomputers.co.uk

How to Block Ransomware

06:41
How to Block Ransomware Crypto-Ransomware is a nasty malware infection that will encrypt all your data, if you don’t have the right type of protection software installed, you have a good chance of getting infected by ransomware, once you get infected with ransomware you’re data will be encrypted and you will then be held to ransom and ask to pay a fee to release you’re data from that encryption, of cause there is decryption tools available to use to decrypt your data, but some ransomware files can’t be decrypted by these. So what do I do, well you can ether pay the ransom to these cyber-criminals which has no guarantee they will help you decrypt your files once you pay their ransom demand. I personally would never pay these criminals. So what can I do to protect myself? You can install SecureAPlus Free Antivirus & Whitelisting Software. Here is the download https://www.secureaplus.com/ Don’t put it off and leave it to another day, you never know when ransomware may strike. Can Software Block Ransomware

11:10
Can Software Block Ransomware Crypto Ransomware is rampant today and once you get hit by this nasty ransomware all your data will be encrypted and to get your data back you will be asked to pay a ransom fee to decrypt your data. Now there is a number of different software available to protect and block ransomware, so we are going to be testing Winantiransom Plus by Ruiware Winpatrol and put it to the test. They claim it protects you against some of the nastiest crypto ransoms out there. For example: CTB Locker, Teslacrypt, Crypto Locker and more. Marketing for preventing ransomware is huge, websites claim a lot of stats and figures with impressive titles like The Most Powerful AntiRansom PLUS product on the market and Declare War on Ransomware and don’t let ransomware steal your memories. This of cause is just marketing to help sell a product. Its big business and people may think they are safe from ransomware and I want to point out that the best way to stay safe is backing up data regularly and keeping a system image backup and storing it away from the computer you are using, this could be an external hard drive. So if you get infected by ransomware you can just wipe the machine and reinstall your system image and data. Yes it takes time and is a bit of inconvenience to you, but your data is safe. Now there is nothing wrong in using software to try and protect your system, but what if it lets a ransomware on your system? You will lose everything and software makers will say they never claim it blocks all ransomware. Why take the risk? Now this video is not to be little Winantiransom Plus it’s quite the opposite, I would love to see this software block all ransomware and my test proved it did not block 2 out of 2 of the tests I run. I just hope people see this video before they rely on any software protecting their precious data from ransomware. I am not affiliated with Ruiware and try to be impartial when it comes to my reviews. These reviews are for education only and does NOT reflect on the company whats so ever. Ransomware Malware Virus Removal Instructions Guide by Britec

09:28
Ransomware Malware Virus Removal Instructions Guide Ransomware is computer malware which holds a computer system, or the data it contains, hostage against its user by demanding a ransom for its restoration. The first known ransomware was the 1989 PC Cyborg Trojan, which only encrypted filenames with a weak symmetric cipher. The notion of using public key cryptography for these attacks was introduced by Young and Yung in 1996 who presented a proof-of-concept cryptovirus for the Macintosh SE/30 using RSA and TEA. Young and Yung referred to this attack as cryptoviral extortion, an overt attack that is part of a larger class of attacks in a field called cryptovirology. Cryptovirology encompasses both overt and covert attacks. Examples of extortive ransomware reappeared in May 2005. By mid-2006, worms such as Gpcode, TROJ.RANSOM.A, Archiveus, Krotten, Cryzip, and MayArchive began utilizing more sophisticated RSA encryption schemes, with ever-increasing key-sizes. Gpcode.AG, which was detected in June 2006, encrypted with a 660-bit RSA public key. Gpcode.AK, detected in June 2008, uses a 1024-bit RSA key, which is believed to be large enough to be computationally infeasible to break without a concerted distributed effort. News of new GpCode-like ransomware is surfacing and it is stronger than ever before with 1024-bit encryption. full article can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ransomware_(malware) -------------------------------- need help with removal? http://www.briteccomputers.co.uk/forum --------------------------------------

Am I at Risk From Ransomware

19:14
Am I at Risk From Ransomware Ransomware is on the rise and with this crypto ransomware being so aggressive and in encrypting all your data and holding you to ransom for a fee to release your data is a nightmare for home users and businesses. These malicious malware can infected a computer and bring a business to its knees. Anti-Virus companies are working hard to find a way to protect people and their customers from being hit by ransomware. But beware of software companies claiming you are protected, never let your guard down and make regular backups of your data and keep it in a safe place away from the computer. Having a computer image of your system and backup of your data is the only sure way of defeating ransomware. The only inconvenience is reinstalling your operating system, but I see this as a small price to pay, it’s better than getting hit by ransomware and having all your data encrypted and having no way of recovering that data. Now there is companies that are releasing ransomware protection software, but like I said nothing gives your 100% protection against Crypto-Ransomware like CTB-Locker, Locky and TeslaCrypt, File Locker, Torrent Locker, Cryptolocker, Cryptowall, MBR Ransomware, Petya and many others. Yes this software is a step I the right direction, but it’s the wrong message we should be sending out to people, relying on software is not the answer to the problem, cyber criminals will find a way to bypass your software and infected your system with Cypto-Ransomware. So in this video I will be testing out Bitdefender Anti Ransomware, this video is for education purposes and to show you how good or bad the software is that I am testing. Stopping ransomware is not easy and there is always a chance things can go wrong. Never play with ransomware on your personal computer, these tests are done in a virtual lab setup. If you wish to use Bitdefender Anti Ransomware, you can download it from there website below Free Bitdefender tool protects against ransomware infections https://labs.bitdefender.com/2016/03/combination-crypto-ransomware-vaccine-released/ Need help with computer problem? join our forum http://www.briteccomputers.co.uk/forum

MBR Ransomware Bootlock Seftad Removal by Britec

03:46
MBR Ransomware Bootlock Seftad Removal by Britec 'Seftad' Ransomware Encrypts Drives Demands $100 For Fix There are several new version of the GpCode ransomware running wild around the web these days however there is a new even nastier piece of code that researchers have discovered that is even more alarming. The new MBR-infecting ransomware known as Seftad overwrites the master boot record on infected machines telling victims that their hard drives have been encrypted and demands a payment of $100 to reverse the damage. This malware which was first detected and analyzed by Kaspersky Lab malware analyst Denis Maslennikovas shows as Trojan-Ransom.Win32.Seftad.a and Trojan-Ransom.Boot.Seftad.a. This ransomware is downloaded by Trojan.Win32.Oficla.cw. If Seftad.a was downloaded by Oficla.cw and run, the victim's PC is rebooted. This new approach at attacking the master boot record (MBR) is something new that we haven't seen from ransomware in the past. Several variants include the new GpCode utilizes actual encryption (GpCode is now using theAES 256 and RSA 1024 encryption algorithms) but doesn't attack the boot records. Since the MBR is the first section of a users hard drive to be loaded damaging the MBR can be extremely difficult to reverse. ------------------------------------------- Need help with your computer? http://www.briteccomputers.co.uk/forum

11:44
Remove Ransomware Decrypt ACCDFISA Protection Program by Britec The ACCDFISA Protection Program is a ransomware computer infection that pretends to encrypt your files using AES encryption and then locks you out of the Windows desktop. When first encountered, this infection will state that it is from the Anti Cyber Crime Department of Federal Internet Security Agency and that a computer virus has been detected that is sending out SPAM email containing links to web sites hosting child pornography. The program then states that your data and computer will be inaccessible unless you use the Moneypak or Paysafecard services to send $100 via SMS to a particular phone number within 48 hours. It further warns that if you wait longer than 48 hours, the ACCDFISA program will delete your operating system and documents. As you can imagine this is all a scam that is being performed to scare you into paying $100 dollars for the proper operation of your computer and the restoration of your data.
