I also discovered this technique by accident. I started jogging every afternoon but decided I would go only a very short distance and go further only if and when I felt like it. Needless to say, I felt like it often enough and started feeling better.. and the rest is history.

I red the book "the compound effect" and the book aperently describes kaizen cause the book recomends exacly that ! puting a little affort in something but for a long period of time is more valuble than overworking on something for a week and than quiting thats how habits are born.I started to learn japanese for like 10 min a day and I could read katakana/hiragana after a month it was amazing!!

Do not worry how much you have accomplished each day. Do as much as you can confortably each day. Slowly your lethargy will dissappear and you will see that you have increased your capacity with out your concious knowlledge.This goes for anything you want to accomplish, even getting rid of a bad habit.

I do agree with the 3 percent or 1 minute rule on a daily basis. Everything takes a step. Take days for a seed to turn into a tree. Takes time to build muscles. Time and effort equals success. Something else a lot people forget. Lower the amount of chores or stresses in your life. For instance, if most of your hours are in your job, don't add other chores or challenges in your life. Just focus on your job, and when you come home, you have nothing to do, give your mind and energy time to recharge and relax. Relaxation and recharging are very important to be happy and move to forward, regardless of your age.

I have done this before I knew it was a thing and it really helps and it becomes a habit. I'm now a clean freak. Lol mine was cleaning house that being so lazy about it. Now I'm working on exercising part I'm up to about 10 minutes a day on and off though. Because I have back and neck trouble I can only do so much for so long but I do what I can. Now if I could apply this somehow to a diet LOL

I used this technique (sort of) unknowingly. I was really bad at Math and did not like doing it. Since I did not do it, I was really bad at Math. And to break this loop, my professor asked me to do Math 5 minute every day. It was after a few months when I was on my study and realized that I had been doing Math for 4 hours! Needless to say that I excelled at the exams thereafter. But yes, Kaizen is a great technique and it really works!

I was already doing the technique without even knowing about its actual name or anything. When I want to change something, I just slowly make it an everyday chore for myself and gradually it becomes like brushing or sleeping. Hehe... I guess I reinventing methods without even knowing it.

well I think moving to Germany and working helped me to improve my German. I started to do more German lessons and more exercise also because I didn't t have to many or almost any distractions in my new home, I woke up early and I had a non exhausting work. Maybe having this principal of at least one minute a day in mind it helps but... is not that easy.

I quit smoking on One Cigarette a Day for One minute. When I totally stopped smoking. I replaced my One min with a One min exercise. No ciggs. Now up to 30min workouts. I've lost 20 lbs and STILL not smoking. Try it.
